Hello.
What is this, what causes it and how do I fix it?
Thank you.

Video problem...could be due to overheating, bad drivers, or bad video card/chip.

I would try uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers first and checking for possible system overheating.

Hello.
I performed a successful system recovery recently - I assume that means my drivers are all intact and up-to-date? If I'm incorrect there, let me know. Still the same problem. I don't notice any over-heating problem: I'm not sure what the gauge is but everything seems normal. An external monitor works fine, by the way.
I've heard the internal graphics hardware is not replaceable for a 110, is that right?

Sorry, can't answer your questions...but I see that your system is a laptop.

I don't like or know anything about laptops, other than the fact that an ordinary person like me is unable to work on them (by design).

I would check the possibility of the things I mentioned, as best as I could.

Since it's a laptop...I would think long and hard about paying anyone to work on it or replace any components. But if no one here has any ideas, you may end up paying someone to figure out what the problem might be and what it would cost to repair/replace.

I suggest waiting for inputs from others who might be able to suggest something more concrete than I can.

Louis
