The fan in my NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS has started to run rather loud and according to SpeedFan the GPU Temp is between 62 and 64C.

I have decided to replace and upgrade the card and would like to get some recommendations on the best one that my system will support. Iím not into games but do a lot of Photoshop and photography.

My system is a HP Pavilion Elite m9040n.
IE-9 Windows 7-64bit
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS.
Power Supply Thermaltake TR2 500W
Processor Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz, 2400 Mhz,
RAM 6.00 GB
Motherboard manufacturer's name: ASUS IPIBL-LA HP/Compaq name: Berkeley-GL8E

Thanks
Jessie

For photography and photoshop, you don't need a high powered graphics card, so this card would do.

Thanks for the reply

The Expansion Slots on the mother board are
One PCI Express x16
Two PCI Express x1
One PCI

Should the video card you recommend work with above?

Regards
Jessie

Yes it will work, you just need to take out the current graphics card.
