I have just finished building my new computer on which i have installed Windows 8 Dev
There is a most peculiar glitch that i have encountered when booting up
The computer will not boot if the monitor is switched on it just stops after 10 seconds and will not go any further unless it is restarted with the manual restart button and then it boots normally.
This glitch does not happen if the monitor is switched off when booting.
So is the problem associated with W8 or does the bios need updating.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated
Regards.

Try deleting your monitor. Then shutdown, and with your monitor on, see if it boots up.

Also what resolution are you using the for the monitor?

Resolution is 1680x1050
I have more less come to the conclusion that it is going to be impossible the find the problem as you are dealing with software that is pre alpha and i have not been able to install the software for the Intel motherboard. That is-Chipset,Lan and Intel desktop utilities.
In fact the only Intel software i have been able to install is audio and Nvidia software for the graphics board.
Not until the Beta version is available and i can install the Intel software will i know if i really have a problem
Thank you for your assistance maybe if i have the same problem with beta i can ask for your assistance again.
I will in the meantime try you suggestion and report back
Regards
