Hi... I have a wireless network 'thingy' in my shared house with which we run one pc (LAN) and two laptops (wireless) ( was three but someone moved out). None of us know much about computers but we have all managed to set-up new connections to this network as and when is necessary. My girlfriend decided to bring her laptop over ( Toshiba equium with windows vista). When trying to connect this to the network I found that it picked up everybody else's network in the road but not ours!!! My girlfriend was planning on doing her uni work here but this has put a spanner in the works. I would really really appreciate some help on this subject as I know nothing about it. I have tried plugging in the LAN wire to the laptop but this does not work either!! Any one help please!
