Hi Having trouble changing icons on my desktop; been trying to switch the icon from Nero 7 showtime icon to BS player icon. I have tried going into properties and and just switching it that way but the icon still shows Nero 7 showtime's icon but it runs on BS player. Was wondering if anyone could help. Thanks in advance.

you could manually replace the nero icon with the "BS" icon and just rename it.

Are you just trying to change the icons - or are you trying to change the program that opens the file that you click on? Have you messed around in the File Associations while trying this?

When you click on an icon that shows Nero - it opens in BS player?

And, when you select Change Icon in it's properties - this doesn't work?

Sounds like somethings busted to me (well, no duh!

Have you tried changing the file associations (rather than just the icon)? (I'm not asking you to do this - just trying to find out if you've done thie).

I suspect that Nero has done something to your system to "own" these icons (most likely a read-only registry setting or something similar). If so, I'd suggest that you wait for someone with more Nero experience to come along - there's probably a simple fix but I don't have Nero on my system.
