I was working on a Windows Vista and 7 computer and combofix disrupt this [dotnetfx35.exe] service.

I have found that uninstalling the .NET Framework from the program features, and reinstalling .NET Framework [dotnetfx35.exe] after using Combofix.

Everything works normally afterwards.
