I have a HP Pavilion Elite m9040n Desktop PC

On 12/05/2010 I replaced the 300W power supply with a Thermaltake TR2 500W Continuous-Delivery Power Supply ATX12V W0379RU.

I have started to get a rather loud humming noise that appears to be coming from the power supply. The noise varies slightly in volume but still very noticeable.

Yesterday after a shutdown the noise stopped for about six hours but itís back now.

Is there a way of testing the Power Supply Fan without removing the Power Supply?
