As of yesterday, I am unable to open a search page on Google or Bing. I've run MalwareBytes (which removed two Trojans), McAfee and AdAware. No other infections have been located. I read somewhere that my "host" file (Windows/System32/Drivers/etc) may have been corrupted and I opened it in NotePad and removed a number of lines of info WAY, WAY below the other data. This did not help. I am running XP.

I am a novice at this and am unable to find any other solutions. Would truly appreciate your help and solution.

I downloaded Hijack This and ran a log, and can post upon request.

Thank you!

I just performed a system restore which solved the problem. I wish I knew what caused it so I can watch out for it in the future.

Thanks for all you do here at Bleeping Computer!
