wont start windows

I was useing my toshiba lap top on line on facebook when it went black screen and then tried to restart and all it has is the blinking light thing at the top left corner bought the recovery disc and it was no help it will let me do sytem restore point says its successfull but still wont boot up help someone what do i do am i screwed what do i do now? i've only had it 8 months or so this sucks any ideas?

bought the recovery disc and it was no help it will let me do sytem restore point says its successfull but still wont boot up

Have you tried the startup repair option?

yes and it does nothing looks for problems but it says if i attached something unhook it and boot again nothing was connected

Have you tried reformatting the harddrive with the recovery disk?
