xp installation on secondary drive

how to install xp on this drive. install keeps saying can't find drive. xps 400 computer does recognize this drive. no floppy on computer.

Can you please list the Make and Model -
I think it is a Dell but I cannot be sure without any details listed, and only the one vague line of description of a problem.

You will need these drivers : R130118.EXE and nLite to slipstream them to your installation disk. They are the SATA controller drivers.

But shouldn't your Dell CD already have that? What are you installing from?

And you say secondary drive. What's the deal with that?
