Dual monitor screen positioning problems

I'm having trouble getting the screen on my tv to align properly so it can be used as a second monitor. It is about an inch too far to the right and i'm left with a black void on the left. I'm using an LG 42lv3500-ua. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
