Honestly, I was expecting the iPhone 5 (not 4S) with a lot of new features. This is just a big yawn. <_<

But you know all the fanboys will still buy it. :P

For someone who does not have an iphone and who has been waiting for the current tech instead of last years, I am happy enough :)

Yeah, I mean it's still a great phone...just a minor upgrade from the previous version. :)

The word "availble" is spelled wrong.

Wonder what the rationale is on not calling it an iPhone 5?

Isn't the change in processor/GPU significant enough?

Otherwise, as an owner of an iPod Touch 3G and a non-smartphone, I'd say these changes are enough to make me consider it when my current phone contract expires.

I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

No, that's just it. The "S" is for a speed increase. I imagine the next iPhone will be redesigned (thinner?) and be called the iPhone 5.

Agreed...iphone 5 will have a chassis change. This is pure internals change. I am still happy I waited for this rather than just getting a 4 though. Dual core and dual graphics is pretty sweet. Plus having the camera updates and 1080p video recording basically gets rid of two extra devices i sometimes have to carry.

Sorry to ruin your party but i have evidence that the Samsung Galaxy SII is still the king of smartphones.

http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/04/iphone-4s-vs-the-smartphone-elite-galaxy-s-ii-bionic-and-tita/

If you have a look at the table, the blue means which is faster or better and you see the Samsung Galaxy SII coming on top

Noone said the iPhone 4S is the best smartphone out there. If you want an iPhone, though, I am happy I waited for this instead of getting the older 4.

I hear and see a lot of people saying how the iphone is the best smrtphone and that they don't care about the hardware of it which basically determines the best smartphone usually. Not saying any of you guys said it was the best smartphone, just pointing out.
