Forgive me in advance as I am not very computer literate.
I am having 2 major issues:

1. I cannot access certain internet sites and when I type in GOOGLE, my computer takes me to MSN. This has been going on for about 10 days.
2. In addition, my AVG protection keeps telling me that Windows is using a HUGE amount of memory for some reason, but I have no idea how to fix this problem.

Both problems on a PC with Windows XP and both problems began at the same point in time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
