Recently, I've had troubles with my monitor blacking out. The only way to get the image back on the screen is to manually reboot the PC. It often happens when I leave the PC idle. When idle, the monitor goes to sleep, which is normal. Upon moving the mouse, the monitor's screen lights up, but the screen is entirely black like there's nothing to see.

On rarer occasions, it just happened suddenly while I was browsing the web.

HELP IS APPRECIATED.

You'll need to post the brand, model, and age of the monitor.

I'm having the same problem and have found similar reports online that indicate the possibility that capacitors have gone bad.
