Windows 7 clock is annoying me

At exactly the stroke of every hour my computer clock plays a sound. And it is getting really annoying. can anybody tell me how to stop it from playing that sound every hour. It has been going on for a week at first I ignored it and now its driving me up the walls

There is no default clock or clock sound. What clock are you using? If it's a gadget, set the option in the gadget options. Otherwise look in Control Panel - Sounds - Sound tab.

I have attached a picture of what i am talking about. I am not talking about a gadget I'm talking about the clock that came with the computer. every hour a tune places like a little windows tune when the clock strikes the first hour be it 1:00 am, 1:00 pm, 8 :00 Am, 3:oo pm. A tune is played every hour by windows.

I clicked control panel , sounds and sound tabs. and found no options about the clock in their

NVM It was the calender I had on my desktop. I clicked on options and it had something called hourly time announcement.and it had a wav file in it.and every hour it plays the chime sound when the windows clock changes.
