I am attempting to use synegy KM to use just one mouse and keyboard to control both my iMac and PC over my network. Unfortunately, I keep getting the error message

"failed to connect to server: The attempt to connect was forcefully rejected
stopped client"

I am using a linksys router, twisted pair, not wireless, to attempt connecting a Mac OS X version 10.5.8 and Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3.

The goal of this is to reduce clutter on the desktop.

I am attempting to use the iMac's nice screen as a second monitor for my PC. Any suggestions on software to use for this?

The goal of this is to have dual monitors without buying a second pc monitor and new card for the PC. It is a windows XP from a few years back.

What are your suggestions?
