hi
i have had my radeon 2900gt in my pc for 4 yrs now and it has now given up.

i am looking for a replacement but am finding all the model numbers and specs far too dazzling, i'm a bit lost really.
i have had a look around and i keep looking at a radeon 5830. i think its around the 100 mark.
this is a bit steep for me really.

my 2900gt was 30 new and to be honest its been great and has been faultless through half life 2-flashpoint 2-far cry 2- tiger woods golf.
i cant help but think i am going over kill with the radeon 5830.

i know that i would appreciate a mega mega card but what i am wondering is -what is the equivalent in todays cards to the 2900? or what is a bit better and worth it?

i would prefer around the 50 mark for something,,any ideas?

i have a
22"lcd-not hd.
intel core 2 duo cpu e4600 @ 2.40ghz
asus 5pk mother board
running xp
2gig of ram

thanks
lee

For the price of 50, this would land to the low end card.

i wasnt keen on buying second hand but thought it worth it if the card is working ok.
