After installing a geforce fx5500 s-video card I had a black screen so I reinstalled my xp professional software ( from Dells cd) Now I'm back but things are not the same .I'm running with the s-video card and using the vga plug to my monitor. I keep getting messages saying things aren't right , This last one says "failed to get proc address for encodepointer ( KERNEL32.dl) .When I was loading the reinstall program it asked me my administrater password ,which I wasn't sure of ,but before I typed anything in it continued on . I have only service pak 1 installed now and cant seem to get the next one.
Any suggestions?

System manufacturer and model?

<<I keep getting messages saying things aren't right>>

Please post all specifics, exactly as they appear onscreen. The one message you provided...appears (to me) to be a Skype issue.
