Ok, so I wasn't sure where to post this so I am putting it here.

I bought a computer from Cyberpower (which I will never do again) about 2 years ago. Ever since I first turned it on (which itself was an event, as it would not initially boot) I have been having problems. First when it is booting, it says no drives detected. Everything still loads fine, and for the most part this thing is a beast. The specs are as follows:

Windows 7 64bit
500 gb sata II7200 rpm HDD
2GB DDR3 PC3 PC1333 (x3)
Asetek 120MM watercooler
Nvidia geforce gtx 275 896 mb pci-e (x2)
i7-920 2.66ghz 8m lga 1366
thermaltake tough power 850 watt
asus p6t x58 sli/crossfire tripe channel ddr3

I think that pretty much covers all the important stuff in there. But basically the big issue I have been having is I have been getting BSOD constantly. What doesn't make sense though is that I can run high end games at full graphical capacity with no problem..no lag, nothing, but when I go on google images I get BSOD. Or if I sometimes go on youtube I get BSOD, or Tumblr or Twitter. It doesn't make any sense. Also when I turn my computer off when it has been on for a long time I get this whining noise from my power supply, which leads me to believe that perhaps it is my power supply and it cannot put out enough power to support both my graphics cards? But if that were the case then why would I be able to run high end games fine, and get crashes when I go to google images? Please help as I cannot stand this problem any more and any trouble shooting I do seems to solve nothing!! I have run out of ideas and I do not know what to do!

Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

Okay, let's start at the beginning:

1) What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?
2) Look in Device Manager - any yellow or red symbols?
3) Does your system have a Linksys WUSB54G wireless USB network adapter? If so, go to their website and update the driver.

1) Nothing is really new since things stopped working. I began having this problem very soon after receiving my computer. I know it is stupid, but I have waited almost 2 years to post the problems in a forum.

2)No yellow or red symbols on device manager, all is clear.

3) I do have a linksys wireless usb network adapter but I am not entirely sure the make of it. It says;

Linksys wireless-g 802.11g 2.4ghz on it

yes it is a WUSB54G ....however, they only have drivers for vista that came out in '07. Is that what I should download?

Only if it's more current than the installed driver. One way or the other though, that seems to be the cause of your problems.

Wait...seriously? The driver for my network adapter is what has been causing me all these problems? I just used device manager to update the drivers. The one on the Linksys website is only 32 bit and it's from '07. You think that is good enough?

I don't know. But the bsod's you are getting refer to WUSB54Gv4x64.sys which is the driver for that device.

Ok well I updated it through the device manager like I said, and I also found this;

http://www.bilal.ca/linksys-wusb54g-v4-x64-windows-7/

So if I keep getting BSOD do you think that would be a good idea to try?

Do you have a second hd (internal or external)? If so, use disc imaging software to create an image of your system drive and then you can try anything you like. If you don't, then I guess the method outlined in your link is probably still worth a shot.
