What a brilliant website you have here. I have spent some time scouring the forums for help but all point seem to create a new post for assistance.

I first noticed a problem when clicking on a links from google searches firefox was taking me to a completely unrelated page but with the correct URL in the address bar.
I tried running SuperAntiSpyware but 'Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions'.

I downloaded and installed MalwareBytes. But this stopped running at around 5% and then the same message appeared when trying to reload.

Running AVG found a few things. Win32.Katusha.A, Adware.Aureate, and Backdoor.Generic14.avqb.

Some things i have read seem to point to a rootkit of some sort.

Hope you can help,
