So I let a friend borrow my laptop for a bit and now its ruined. She did something and crashed my system. It started off as just a black screen with a blinking cursor. I figured she got a virus somehow and crashed the OS. I got in and refigured the startup so that I could use the backup disk to reinstall the system. It worked and I reinstalled the OS but shortly after the reinstall, I get a quick flash of the BSOD and then back to the black screen with the blinking cursor and then nothing. No matter how may times I reinstall, I get the BSOD. Can anyone offer any assistance on this one?

Try to press the pause-break button on the keyboard at the time that the blue screen flashes to see if you can read the error message.
