Hello! I am looking at buying a used HP Pavilion laptop. The only thing I'm not sure about is that it is a Mobile AMD Athlon 2000+. Are these any good? I've only dealt with Pentium processors so I'm not sure how these stack up.
Other than the processor, it has a 40gig hard drive, 512M ram and a dvd/cdrw. So that's good!

Thanks!!
Chris

AMD is a good chip, and well respected. Depending on the price that could be a very good value. The Athlon 2000+ translate into 1.67ghz. What are you wanting to do with this computer? School, work, internet,...

Basically, internet and learning to work with PhotoShop. Eventually when I go back to work, it may be used for that too. In your opinion, what would this pc be worth to you?

It's a HP Pavilion ze4325us. Thanks for the replies, but I took my Compaq Armada in to the shop and they were able to replace my hard drive at no charge. (I used to work for them.) So much for getting a new laptop. I guess I'll stick with this one for now.

Thanks again!
