Is anybody aware of a program (preferably freeware) that will search an entire folder of files for specific key words? For example:

I have a folder which contains hundreds of MS Word technical reports. Using Windows I can easily search the folder for files containing the word “car”. But, I would like to be able to search the folder files for a combination of all words which must be present in the file. Example:

Search for car, blue, Chevrolet, 2006. Again, all of the words must be present in the file found.

If freeware is not available, a paid program would be acceptable.

For searching filenames only = Everything

For searching in file contents = Agent Ransack

They both have their value, but when it comes to sheer power and flexibility of search options, Agent Ransack wins hands down. They're both free.

Agent Ransack is exactly what I was looking for. Great program, easy to use, and it works like a charm. That program will save me a lot of time.

Thank you very much.
