I am trying to do a clean install of Vista on my PC, but I get the following message in a box during the start of the installation: "A required CD/DVD device Driver is Missing" I have the DVD that has the drivers on it for the PC, the DVD is not showing up as an option. Does anyone know what driver I need to fix this so I can do the install from a USB thumb drive? I have the Dell Studio Desktop 540. Thanks

Optical drives don't normally have special drivers these days...Windows supplies a generic driver for all.
