I have a computer with many corrupt system files, but System File Checker (sfc /scannow) wants files to be copied from the Windows XP CD to the DLL Cache. I do not have a Windows XP CD with SP3 or any blank CDs to make one. How can I copy the required files to the DLL cache? The "fix" given here does not work.

I tried extracting the files from the SP3 installer and changing the source path, but Windows still wants files to be copied from the CD.
