I am new to the site and would like to first thank all of those who help folks like me.
I am running some version of Internet Explorer (cannot find a way to determine which version) and, last week used "system restore" just because I have not used it lately. I immediately lost my Real Player and cannot reinstall it. Went to Filehippo.com and am successful until the last step when AVG stops the download one-half the way through, saying it is a trojan virus. I ran Malwarebytes which found no items.

I suggest downloading RP from its website...and/or removing/replacing AVG with a different AV.

http://www.real.com/realplayer/search

I installed RP last week...I use Avira Free and I've not received any alerts on it.
