Rootkit-Pakes.bi infection

I have been given a windows XP box to try and rescue fro a friend.

AVG is reporting a trojan Horse Rootkit-Pakes.bi virus and the infected file is volsnap.sys.

I have attached the logfiles.

Any suggestions where I should go from here please?
