The easy way is to go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ there you let them install a small program on your computer, after that you find the game you are curious about or type in the name of the game. It will do a search, test, of your computer and let you know if you can run the game or not.

Plants vs. Zombies, all Facebook games, Defense of the Ancients ( DOTA ), Angry bird, all the not so heavy games.
When I first got my computer I just used the on board graphics card but was not happy with the performance, you will notice the game will be laggy and takes time to load I decided to purchase a decicated graphics card and my gaming never went smoothly as before.

There's always the old fashined way to test things too; "If in doubt, install the demo... If it plays well buy the game"... Back in the day that really was the only way to truly know

Good luck...
