I bought a used Fujitsu T4220 which has Windows 7 installed on it. Everytime I use it the screen blinks off & on and freezes. Ocassionally, it will say it has recovered from a display driver error.

I've updated the Display drivers but the problem still exist.

Here are two things that fix the problem.

1. Boot is safe mode - the problem goes away.
2. Change the display monitor settings to 16bit vs. 32bit and the problem also goes away.

Does anyone have any permanent solutions.

Thanks!

Drivers Webpage

I note that no drivers are reflected for 64-bit Win 7...if you are running 64-bit Win 7, this could be a problem, IMO.

I would uninstall the current video drivers (via Device Manager) and then install anew from the Fujitsu website.
