Hi Michaelone,
As a new member myself, but in the absence of other long standing members, may I say welcome to Bleeping Computer.
I don't understand what you are confused about, this section of the forum is to introduce yourself, maybe say a little about yourself perhaps and that is all. Any requests for help should be in the appropriate forum for that, but you have succeeded in entering a post in here.
If perhaps you mean a section where you can enter more details such as your profile, up on the top right you will see your name, click on that and a drop down menu appears where you can select your profile and settings, that is where you can add or alter anything of that nature.

Why all the fuss, I already have Windows 8. Three windows at the front, and five at the back since I bought the house.
