Hi folks,
Running an Acer Veriton M2 series with a Core2 Duo E7500, and I'm getting sudden, random reboots. Attached is the text output from BlueScreenView.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Stuart.

Just a suggestion...rather than supplying a solitary event from BSV...I would supply all.

A variation of the standard blurb many of us use:

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html .

Double-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When autoscan is done (screen comes up), click Edit/Select All...then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.

IMO, there's little to be gained by reviewing a single BSOD error message...whereas a number of messages can allow perception of a trend and more detail on what may be going wrong with the system.

OK, it seems that your problems began back about a month ago...what changes do you recall taking place at that time?

Go Start/Run...type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter. What items reflect any yellow or red markings (indicating a problem)?

Hi Louis,
No items with yellow or red symbols on them in Device Manager.
Don't recall happenings to this machine a month ago, a quick look at the System Restore calendar shows only 'software distribution service 3.0'.
Cheers,
Stuart.

What malware-defense programs are installed (e.g., SUPERAntiSpyware, AV, Malwarebytes, etc.) ?

Any "tuneup" "registry cleaner" types installed/used?

No Tune-up progs installed. Have Eset SmartSecurity 5 and possibly Windows anti-malware prog.

I would have to guess...at possible overheating of the system...at least, I would try to eliminate that from contention first.

Cleaning the Interior of your PC - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/cleaning-the-inside-of-your-pc/

Cases, How to Avoid Overheating - http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/142

You can use a program like Core Temp - http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ or SpeedFan - http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php to check the temperatures after doing what you can to ensure that there is no buildup of dust, etc. inside the case.
