My windows XP started to act up on Monday since then it has progressivly got worst. I went and viewed my error message in help and support this is what it said since Monday and to-day is Friday:

Windows cannot query DllName registry entry for {7B849a69-220F-451E-B3FE-2CB81 1AF94AE} and it will not be loaded. This is most likely caused by a faulty registration.

Windows cannot query DllName registry entry for {CF7639F3-ABA2-41DB-97F2-81E2C 5DBFC5D} and it will not be loaded. This is most likely caused by a faulty registration.

I went into Safe Mode this a.m. and did the chkdsk but it didn't help. While I was typing this the computer froze I couldn't type for a bit I had to wait until it unfroze to type this.

I need help

I have never had IE 8. My e-mail outlook express 6 crashed before this started happening, I uninstalled my IE 7 and reinstalled it to get outlook express 6 to work again, then I had to put service pack 1 back on. I also had to put service pack 3 back on. Outlook express 6 is working again but now I have all this trouble with windows xp. Help and support will tell you what the problem is but will not give you how to fix it.

Unless I'm misreading...the core of the problem begins with IE.

My advice would be to update from IE 6 (which is now no longer supported by many websites) to either IE 7 or IE 8.

<<My e-mail outlook express 6 crashed before this started happening.>>

Please...provide more details...exactly what happened and why did you think uninstalling IE would cure it?
