Last night all was well. This morning, however, my personal laptop is having problems. Neither Firefox nor IE could download a webpage. Both tried and then timed-out. Email was working, but very slowly. I rebooted twice. I rebooted the modem. Still unable to connect via the web browsers. I left the computer running a full Norton scan.

Any ideas what could be the problem?

I'd suggest calling your ISP to see if they are experiencing problems.
