I keep having a problem where the Google toolbar keeps disappearing. I like the toolbar because of the pop-up blocking that it does.

I reinstall the toolbar, but it disappears when I reboot. If I don't reboot, I can close and reopen the IE browser window just fine...until I reboot. I am current with all my Windows patches.

I suspect that this problem started after my daughter downloaded some of those "cutsy icons" from the Internet. I have run Ad-Aware, Spybot and CWShredder, but the problem keeps happening.

Below is my HijackThis log. Can anyone tell me if there is still something on my computer that should concern me?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Please put a checkmark in the box for each of these entries, close all other windows, and click the fix button:

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode.

Then delete these files or directories
c:\windows\SYSTEM\blank.htm
C:\WINDOWS\fash.exe
C:\Program Files\STC\

Disable System Restore. You can find instructions on how to enable and reenable system restore here:

Managing Windows Millenium System Restore

or

Renable system restore with instructions from tutorial above

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.
