I just registered to get help for removing a malware issue and getting prepared to do so downloaded the dds to as per the instructions, and when I open the dds.scr link from my desktop, all i get is a wordpad with a ton of non-readable characters in it.

please download this file: xp_scr_fix.

Unpack the file onto your desktop and double-click it. You will be asked if you wish to merge the file with you registry, say yes.

You should then be able to run DDS.scr.

Please try this download: scr_fix_w7.zip

please try this: scrfx_vista

then post in the other forum.
