Can't Save My Hijack This Log

i can scan with hijack this,but when i try to save the log acrobat\adobe4.0 comes up and says can not save because file does not start with%pdf,also the attempted save ends up in my documents same error when i open from there.Yes it's in a perm.folder an all that.win98se,550mhz, celeron 128 ram,hp.i would like to save it in note pad,i don't get any options when i hit save in the hijack this window .thanks for helping iam
a novice 90% of my problems are the interface between the computer.

Seems like an error in the way win98se is identifying hjt's default file extension, which is .txt
Adobe Acrobat 4.0 is outdated, which might contribute to the problem.

Uninstall Adobe. You can put it back later, the newest version.
if your win98 sees no adobe, maybe it'll respond correctly

Since malware does exist that targets hjt's process(s) more variables might be in play.

win98se should employ a file in a folder called Opens With
(at least I know winXP does)

I'm no authority on this, but it sounds like a system file or registry key has become corrupt.
No cause for panic, but it might delay your ability to correct that and other problems you might have.
patiently patrolling, plenty of persisant pests n' problems ...

I removed adobe using add\remove function then reboot an ran ccleaner,it found left over junk.now when i save my log it automaticaly saves it in note pad thank you so much .i dont have any other problems ,but one more question? in the event i need to post a log here how do i go about doing that thank you in advance and you can close this thread.

thanks again i found the write up on how to post a hijack this log file.hopefuly i will not need the service but glad its here.
