I am searching hi and low for computer help with no emotional ties to it. If you have ever had pc advise from family or friends you know what I mean. I am looking forward to communicating with individuals who do not believe "reboot" means throw the "Beep" out the window!

You will find not a single post advising THAT remedy here at BC, only friendly and mostly non-technical help from other users like yourself.

Welcome to BC, dovers2

I remember asking Grinler about how this site got started.
(entering keywords "family" "advice" "PC" and "bleep" & "computer" into my brain has yielded this recall)
Grinler created and heads up this site & writes tutorials...
He apparently became the "default" source within his extended family for advice quite some time ago.
Recognizing that there might be no end to the potential queries, he thought replying to questions
on a forum in simpler language might result in better communication.
(I think he had recent college experience at effective teaching & time management, too)

I am looking forward to communicating with individuals who do not believe "reboot" means throw the "Beep" out the window!

 I've heard this b4 ..."If ya' ask me Joe, I think ya' outta unplug that *bleeping* computer" generally qualified with personal observations assuring me this would improve things significantly.

Like jgweed has said ...
our members seek other options to try when help is asked for,
and respond in ways they hope you understand.
