.NET update failure

Hello
I am running Windows7 Home premium with Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile installed. I keep getting messages from Windows to install an important security update, but it fails to install with an error code. Has anyone had a similar problem or know what to do about it?

I had tried the manual update previously and it had also failed. I have just tried it again and it worked! ??
