Hello and :welcome: To BC!

Look under the process tab in the task manager and find out what process is using the most resources. Does this same situation happen when google chrome is closed?

It doesn't take much to use up 1GB of ram that you posted your netbook has.

Well...netbooks were never intended to be workhorse systems...the basic design works against such.

As mentioned...1GB of RAM doesn't give a lot to work with...I'd take a serious look at what is installed on that system and remove unnecessary fluff and programs that are heavily resource intensive.

In fact, the only thing advertised in online connectivity and mobile computing...it's not intended to be a desktop/workstation replacement.

Sorry for being so late. Hamluis has hit the nail on the head. You shouldn't ask a VW rabbit to pull the load where a F350 is needed. That boat don't float.
