My Great Grandkids spend some of their summer work money and bought me a Thinkpad.

From what I can tell it is a Lenovo Thinkpad T-61 1661 12U with 1GB of RAM and an 80GB hard disk.
Pre-installed operating system is MS Vista Business Edition.

What I am wondering is how much RAM can I add and what type. If possible, I would like to put 3 or 4 GB of RAM
and upgrade the OS to Windows-7.

I am open to any and all suggestions. I have fired the unit up three or four times just to get the feel of it. The Fingerprint
software looks 'cute' but I don't know if I will have to use it or not.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

regards

Your laptop can support up to 4GB DDR2 ram and also with the ram upgrade, windows 7 would be a good option to upgrade.
