I am running Windows 7 on my laptop along with a program called 'Costruction Partner'

The program is used for small construction companies. It has been re-written for Win7

While running the program all functions work fine, but sometimes when creating reports Win7 will state there is a security error and crashes the program

I have spoken with the company that makes Construction Partner and they say it is a Windows error.

I run the program as Admin.

I think the program either creates a temp file or trys to write to a file when creating these reports and that causes the error.

Is the any way to turn off or adjust Win7's security level to fix this problem?
I would be grateful for any help!

Is there any additional information supplied in event viewer that could help us pinpoint the exact cause of the shut down?

Can you give us more information on the 'Security Error', such as an error code or identified module?

Thank You for the extra effort. Hopefully someone may have knowledge and can add it in between your wait time.

FWIW: Some reviews of said software, http://www.contractortalk.com/f17/construction-partner-have-you-used-software-3991/ .

Based on that, my guess would be a coding problem with the software...but I'd like to see the exact error message from Windows.

To comment intelligently as to what type of situation you have...I'd like to see exact error messages.

Sorry I haven't answered sooner the problem does not always happen

the error message is EAccessViolation

this closes the software. When the error occurs the program is prepint reports for printing.

I have attaceh a dump file from the last error

Rather than the dump file, I'd like you to do the following.

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html .

Double-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When autoscan is done (screen comes up), click Edit/Select All...then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.

I had changed the setting for my anti-virus program and it seemed to work fine until this morning

I got the same error message and tried to run the program you listed but it could find nothing.
I saw there was also AppCrashView v1.11 so I ran that also and found nothing.

Do you have any other ideas?

my guess is try running it in compatibility mode right click on the exe go to proprieties and select compatibility tab and say Run in Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and hit apply and ok and try again to print.

What file format does it required in order to print
