I recently changed from XP to W7 (same machine), and when I connected my digital camcorder initially, the drivers loaded but instead of opening a
program to upload the recorded video, nothing happened.
The camera shows in the devices window and also in device manager, but I cant find how to get the recorded video onto the computer, it happened automatically on XP and Vista, it does when I connect my digital still camera (USB).
My camcorder connects via firewire (1394) cable through a PCI card.
Several video softwares I have don't 'see' the camcorder either.
All the drivers are upto date too.
Any ideas anyone?
