Random redirection in google search results

Using windows 7 64 bit.

When I search for something in google, after clicking on the results I am redirected to random ad pages. Doesn't do it for every result, only randomly.

Tried running avast and malwarebytes and can't find any infection.

Running IE 9.

Sorry, mods can delete this thread if you want. I was able to fix with a system restore. I think my son was using this computer over the weekend and must have installed some malicious stuff by accident.
