I am battling malware that seems invisible to malwarebytes. most of the time I have no problem typing in and address and going to it. However, searches in Google from chrome, or IE keep getting redirected.

I have the same problem. Tried SUPERAntiSpyware, MAlwarebytes, AViria

I noticed that my "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" folder's "hosts" file is corrupt. It has multiple extra logs but I can't seem to remove and resave. I tried renaming "hosts" to "hosts.bak" but it didn't let me. I tried replacing the corrupt file with a new correct version but I wouldn't let me do it.
