Help With Xp Media Edition Control

well the thing is that after removing the WINHOUND virus from my computer i notice that i can't use my remote control for the computer. If there is anyone that could help me with this issue it would be great. Im so used to using my control and not using the mouse so much anymore when it comes to seeing my pics and videos and listing to music.

if there are any questions about my computer system please reply back with the question.
I do have windows xp home media center edition 2004 sp2.

How was the virus removed? Have you done scans with other antivirus programs to ensure that it's really gone?

If the system is actually clean, then I'd have to suggest a repair install of the operating system. While I'm not familiar with the Media Center OS, it's similar to XP and should be about the same procedure.
