Hello all,

I have some problem with missing drivers. I have dual boot window 7 and Window XP professtional. All window 7 drivers are properly installed yet Window XP currently show missing drivers as following.

Attached File  missing drivers in XP.JPG   16.03KB   6 downloads

I already install Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.5958 , iAMT_Intel_6.0.0.1179 , yet unable to find SM BUS Controller driver. Would you please help clarify which driver i am missing ? Also, I would most appreciate if you would provide direct link to download.

Regards,
AA l.

Hi :).

When trying to find appropriate drivers...it helps if we know the system manufacturer and model. If self-built, then the motherboard manufacturer and model. There are no universal drivers for every system, other than those for keyboard, mouse, monitor, optical drive, and USB function.

http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

Acer lists no drivers for that system for Windows XP.
They have Windows 7 drivers only, XP and Vista are not supported.
Sorry!
In the beginning there was the command line.

@sundavis, thank you for your link. I have already checked found that I already have some of them which have compatibility issue , anyway thank you for the idea to let me start to find another alternative way.

I try as following and it works :

1. right click of unknown device then select property.

Attached File  missing device driver.JPG   38.86KB   3 downloads

2. in "details" tab chose "hardware ID" then copy the hardware ID to search in google which provide many websites. I tried some yet still have compatibility problem even suggested from Nvdia or intel.
The most easiest way that i tried is searching the result shown from http://yourpcdrivers.com/ then download driver scanner , install and scan.

Attached File  download driver scanner.JPG   71.79KB   3 downloads

3. the scanner will provide the link to compatible device driver download page.

Attached File  select driver.JPG   92.92KB   3 downloads

4. Select one of them then download.

Hopefully , this would help others more or less and thank you for all suggestion. :)
