We just got our power back after experiencing a hurricane; the computer was without power for roughly three days. Everything seems to be running normally, but I noticed in my Norton noted that WatAdminSvc had accessed the internet, something I'd never seen it do before. A little googling showed that this might be a way to hijack a server.

No symptoms for now, and SAS, Norton, Malwarebytes, GMER and TDSS Killer all come up clean. Just want to make sure this is a normal operation!

As you said it was off a while.. This is a process for new signature-based approach for checking if an OS is properly licensed.
Appears it was just a validatio check.
