i have my system all backed up and am ready to do a fresh install of windows xp professional (black edition). then my system went all sideways on me. i know there are a zillion variables that need to be considered, but is it POSSIBLE that a fresh install of windows xp professional (black edition) COULD rid my computer of wierd behavior? i would really like to avoid the headache stress of trying to fix it and would rather start from scratch. i'm not lazy, i'm just not very computer smart. can a fresh install make everything all fresh and new? thank you for your time. Tina

The only versions of Windows XP are the following:

Windows XP Home

Windows XP Pro

Windows Media Center

And the various other Windows XP versions designed for use in another country. The version you referred to is an illegal version, and as such cannot be discussed here. Please purchase a valid copy of Windows XP.

This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences.
