The answer is none.

As every brand have their advantages and weakeness.

And the fact that NVIDIA and ATI always produce new VGA Chip in a couple month so don't bother to get the best video card as it will only last a couple month until new card shown up. Except you are want to buy new card when that card available in store.

If you compare their card in the same range, it is marginal differences and you won't notice it.

Personally, im an ati fan-using dual 4890s in xfire, but a lot of it is personal preference. How much gaming do you do?

I also use dual ati 6950 in crossfire. I don't like Nvidia because of price and crappy drivers. What is your video card Horane and what games do you play?

Well, it really depends on how you define "best." If "best" is the card that runs all your games perfectly, then to me the GTX260 is the best.

Either way, both nvidia and ATI have their flagship cards for 400-500$ but I don't think you will need that much power.
If I am helping you and I do not respond within 24 hours, please send me a PM. :)
