Hey guys,i recently bought a 1 gb ram stick and put it in my computer.Now my computer has 4 slots and i already had 3 full with 768 mb of ram.After i re-started my computer it still says i have 768mb.How do i check if i did something wrong?I do have speccy,but don't really understand how to use it...please help!!tyvm

OK, Clearly the system isn't detecting your new 1gb stick.

1. Is this the current system memory setup: 256MB + 256MB + 256MB + 1GB ?

2. Are you sure the 1GB stick is of the right kind? Please specify the make/model no. of the stick.

3. How to extract and share your system info using Speccy:

Post the specs here as a snapshot.

To your question about #1...yes that is how i have it....
To question #2....yes...it is a ddr stick that i got from staples...
